Have you ever been to a reading salon?
Two years ago, I would have answered that question with a definitive no. But that was before several romance authors (Ava Stone, Claudia Dane, Deb Marlowe and Tammy Falkner) came together to start the Raleigh-Durham branch of Lady Jane’s Reading Salon http://www.ladyjanesalonnyc.com/.
Lady Jane’s-RDU gathers on the last Wednesday of every month, pulling in readers and authors alike. We eat, drink, be merry and get to listen to some amazing books. One of the best things about going is that I get to listen to books that are written in genres I don’t normally read, like romantic suspense or urban fantasy. Which I love! Sometimes I end up on my phone, downloading the book to my Kindle App. Okay…so maybe more often than sometimes that happens, like almost every time.
This month I’ll be reading from my latest release, Drive Me Crazy (Going the Distance ~Book 1) at Lady Jane’s-RDU. Rather appropriate for a Valentine to be reading romance during the month of love, no?
So, have you ever been to a reading salon? Two commentors will win an e-copy of DRIVE ME CRAZY.
WINNER Announced below!
About the author:
Nationally Bestselling author, MARQUITA VALENTINE writes small town romances that are anything but small. Lisa Kleypas, Carly Phillips and Rachel Gibson are her favorite contemporary authors. Marquita met her husband aka Hot Builder at Sonic when they were in high school. She suggests this location to all of her single friends in search of a good man — and if that doesn’t work, they can console themselves with cheesy tatertots. She lives in North Carolina in a very, very small town with Hot Builder and their two children.
