Baseball Romance: Is it really a home run?

"Some people think you need to like sports in order to enjoy a good sports romance. To those who wonder this, I ask, do you like a hot, sexy romance? Do you like a strong and muscular athletic hero? Do you like journeying with the hero and heroine as they strive toward their HEA despite obstacles being thrown in their way? If you answered yes to any of these, then you’ll like a sports romance!"

ONCE PURE (Shattered Past #3) by Cecy Robson

"As a fan of Cecy Robson’s Weird Girls series, I was excited to sample something different from her and also read my first fighter romance novel. Sure, I like my vampires and shifters a tad violent, but this was a complete turnaround for me. I like to live on the wild side and I dove right in to the romantic arena..."

TAMING THE LEGEND (London Legends #4) by Kat Latham

"Kat Latham returns to the world of rugby football in her London Legends series, this time with a second chance at love story between an man who has sacrificed everything including love for his career, and the one woman who might be more important than rugby TAMING THE LEGEND. I admit it, I’m a sucker for a story about two people rekindling their passion for each other and this book delivers. TAMING THE LEGEND is one of the most mature and emotionally satisfying romances that I have read in a long time."

The Olympics, Rita’s, Spelling Bee – everybody loves a winner

Watching the Olympics this week was great fun — there were so many memorable moments each and everyday – all of the winners were awesome & defeated their opponents with skill and professional grace. That’s what it is all about, yes? Some of the US medalists included, Michael Phelps, Missy Franklin, both were winners in swimming (we always seem to do well in this event). Gymnastics, we had our secret weapon, Gabrielle (Gabby) Douglas.

Romance chat about romance, hockey and hot dogs + Giveaway!

I love hockey — I follow blogs that talk about hockey, go to as many games as financially possible and even own a few of the Redwings jersey’s . . . . and right now the Redwings are in the playoff’s for the Stanley Cup only they are down one game — well, it is still early but they are not sweeping their opponent and that is making me nervous.

It is such an exciting, fast game don’t you think? All of these really good looking sexy guys fly across the ice – love it!

I also love romance stories that include sports, hockey in particular – Rachel Gibson did a great job with her last series – Deidre Martin & her New York Blades series was another hit with me

Sports & Romance, Do They Mix? + Giveaway!

I have never been a big fan of Sports but put it together with romance and it becomes a win – win situation for me. My first sports romance book just happened to be by one of my favorite authors ever so I wanted to pick up her back list and it doing so, I got to read Slow Heat by Jill Shalvis. It was light, funny and gave you a great look into the world of baseball. But it didn’t stop there. I went on the kick of my life in trying to find some more amazing sports romance books by some really wonderful authors. Not all sports romance books are light and funny but they can be intense and erotic too. After reading The Perfect Play by Jaci Burton I was in aww.… Continue
