"This season is coming to a close and I see lots of potential explosive endings..."
The Americans is one of those shows that’s been on my radar since it started two seasons ago. When I was asked to recap it, I was more than excited for a reason to binge-watch so I could catch up. Thank you Romance@Random for giving me this new obsession! To kick off season three, The Americans dives right in with a healthy dose of tension between Elizabeth and Phillip.
Last week just wasn’t the same without my dose of the adventures of Peggy Carter. Thankfully this week the show is back, and it has everything. Fist-fights, Nazis, witty banter between Peggy and Jarvis, Howard Stark and as a special bonus, a cameo by Stan Lee! So let’s plunge into the recap.
So, as many of us have noticed, the show we once looked forward to every week has changed. Before it was fun and ridiculous and boundary pushing, but now it’s just ridiculous. Where did things go wrong, and can they be made right? I’m hoping that tonight’s episode steers the show back towards the right bearings, but here’s my brief overview of some things I think have contributed to the show’s decline. Add your opinions in the comments!
I have been looking forward to last night’s premiere of AGENT CARTER ever since it was announced that character would get a limited series of her own. And the first episode did not disappoint. Agent Carter is one of the best female heroines on TV, sassy, snarky and able to keep her cool under pressure. I have never seen so much butt-kicking while wearing fabulous clothes in my life!
Watch out people: Mindy’s back from break and she’s taking California by storm.
